Ecchi Art (Edition V) – Collector’s Series

You like ecchi, right? Of course, you do. That’s why you’re here. Well, we obviously love ecchi too, which is why we’re branching out to look at something new and exciting in the ecchi world. This is EcchiArt – a monthly digital magazine!

Ecchi Art (Edition V)
So, as the cover would suggest this it the fifth edition of Ecchi Art and it’s no coincidence that we are bringing this one to your attention. Let me hit you with the good news right now. Ecchi Art is having a Black Friday special where you can get this edition for the insanely low price of $1.90. Normally, it costs $9.99. It is a monthly subscription, but for $1.90 it’s worth checking out.
Still not sure, well don’t worry. I’ve got together with Yomu to look at this edition and talk about our favorite parts. This should give you a little more information before you make the obvious decision to check it out.
Original Ecchi Art
The first section you’ll find in your copy of Ecchi Art is dedicated to original ecchi art… Don’t you love it when you get exactly what you wanted? There is a collection of images by six different artists and they range from cheeky to down right hot. Seriously, this section alone would make the ridiculously cheap price worth it. We’re not going to talk about all of them as that would spoil the surprise, but instead we’re each going to pick a favorite.

There’s a lot to like about the original ecchi art and with six artists each having four or five images each, it’s hard to narrow it down to just one. If I’m pushed, however, I’m going to go with this image by Yo-Nashi.
Out of all the artists, this is the style that really resonates with me and I hope you’ll agree that this image is incredible. If anyone can help me with exactly who this is an image of, I would be eternally grateful. My first thought was that it’s Nejire from My Hero Academia but I don’t remember her having elf ears. Please help!

I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been one to look out for ecchi art like this, instead I’ve more just stuck to what we get in anime. But I thought it was cool to see the collection of art shown here, and knowing that this digital magazine is supporting ecchi artists is pretty neat in it’s own right.
My favourite piece from this edition was by Cait, and it’s of… well I don’t actually know her name, so maybe someone can help both Lynn and I in this area! She’s a bombshell blonde with a pair of lovely blonde drills in the front and long hair in the back, topped with a headband. I really like both the body and the hair. The ecchi aspect (full nudity) is just the cherry on top!

Exclusive Manga
The next section contains exclusive manga. There are four series currently running and in each edition you’ll get a chapter for each. So, let’s just dive straight in and look at our favorites.

So, again there’s plenty of variety in story and art style with these chapters. And once more, I’m going with the style that really resonates with me. It’s also the one that feels a little more like a battle manga and in this short chapter, there’s a lot of action.
I am talking about TOBAV or Tired of Being a Virgin which is written by Little Alrisha and illustrated by Yo-Nashi. Hang on… that’s the same artist as my favourite selection from the original art section. Well, Yo-Nashi, it looks like you’ve just acquired a new fan.

So one of the ongoing manga that has been with Ecchi Art since it’s first edition is Calculatrix. It’s about a woman who is both a math teacher, and, naturally, a dominatrix. I’m not much of a manga reader, so I appreciate that it’s easy to follow and the pages aren’t too crowded.
From the very beginning I thought it was a funny concept, and I’ve been enjoying it. The idea of a double-faced woman who is a sweet innocent teacher, but also a… dominatrix, is cool and I’d like to see where this story continues to go from here.

Puri Puri Squad (Cosplay)
The third and final section contains some wonderful cosplay artists dressed up as some of your favourite anime characters. There are five cosplayers and they’re all pretty incredible. However, as with the other sections, we’re going to pick one each. It’s all part of the tease, apparently…

If you’ve seen any of my waifu of the week selections then this will probably come as no surprise to anyone. The only thing missing is a sword, but since XKalty is dressed as Nami from One Piece, I’ll let it slide.
I feel like I should say something else here, but it’s hard to say anything that would be able to keep up with this image. I will say that this image is just one of eight featuring XKalty. Enjoy!

Of the cosplay featured in this edition, I’d say that I enjoyed Rinzje Baby’s cosplay of Zero Two from Darling in the Franxx. She’s cute, I like the hair, and I also like the white one-piece swimsuit that she wears in the pictures. I feel like white swimsuits in general are underrated, but that’s aside from the point.
Just like with the previous two sections, haha, I’ve never really sought out pictures of cosplay like these, and so it was also nice to see some anime gals come to life!

And there you have it. That’s our review of Ecchi Art Edition V.
