Tsugumomo (Episode 8) – A Certain Day in the Kagami Household / The Super Popular Fragrance

Tsugumomo Title

Kazuya arrives at school to find all of the girls in his class swarming over Shirou. It’s making the other boys quite angry, but then Kazuya confronts him and reveals the truth which further enrages the boys… as they want it!

A Certain Day in the Kagami Household / The Super Popular Fragrance

The episode opens with an od segment which showcases a normal day in the Kagami household, which is, of course, not even remotely normal. It’s also done in a way that makes it feel like a silent short, but it isn’t as there’s talking and stuff. Either way, it was odd and took up the first third of the episode.

After that, Kazuya arrived as school and found that Shirou had turned the girls in his class into his own personal harem. The boys were pretty mad, but when they discovered how he’d done it, all thanks to Kazuya not dealing with it delicately, they turned into crazed zombies determined to get their hands on the cologne that could give them each their own harem. Kazuya, Osamu, Chisato, and Kiriha escape with Shirou and force him to destroy the cologne amasogi, but when he tries, Kazuya is accidentally covered in the cologne and when he tries to wash it off, things get really interesting!

Episode Thoughts

As I said, the first part of the episode was odd and I didn’t really care for it. It certainly didn’t put Kiriha in a good light and felt out of place with the series as a whole. The second part was hilarious and should have been way longer… ie, the entire episode. They really could have done more with the zombie students and made it into a full-on zombie apocalypse episode and still had time for the bath scene at the end. That was an outrageous scene and while we didn’t see all of it, it would have been hentai if we did, we knew exactly what had happened to poor Kazuya… three times…
