Facing “Cannibal Candy” II
The episode opens up with Raishin confronting the man that he seeks revenge on. We don’t know the details, but it seems to have something to do with an attack on Raishin’s family in the past. However, before Raishin can do anything, he is stopped by the man’s 6 dolls, revealing how much stronger he is than Raishin.
Later, Raishin is approached by a member of the school’s disciplinary committee. As he’s proven himself to be fairly strong, and he’s a newcomer, he can be trusted to not be the mysterious automaton killer, Cannibal Candy. Raishin finds out that Charlotte is also investigating Cannibal Candy, and asks her on a date.
When the two return to the school, they find the remains of several automatons that had been attacked by Cannibal Candy in their absense.
So last episode framed Raishin as someone who is strong. I was getting Chivalry of a Failed Knight vibes, and wondering if they’d keep him that way, as the underdog who is stronger than people believe. Well, I think he’s stronger than others think, but this episode proved that there is at least one individual who is still stronger than him, so at least there will be some sort of progression in that area.
After all of Yaya’s teasing last episode, I wasn’t surprised to see some fan service of her this episode, but I was a bit surprised to see some nudity. I didn’t think this was that kind of anime, but I guess sometimes even the more casual ecchi animes sneak some nipples in here and there.
Overall, there wasn’t too much action this episode but it seems that we’re building up towards something exciting with Cannibal Candy, so I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next.
