Weekly Peep! (#4)
For something that started out as a joke, we’re having way more fun than we thought we would! Here’s a recap of week four.
Monday
Why the hell are you here, Teacher!? (Episode 7) – Seventh Period
Lynn continues to delve into the forbidden love that is between a teacher and her student in Why the hell are you here, Teacher!? It sounds kind of dirty when you say it like that, but at least they’re attractive female teachers. It shouldn’t make it any better, but it does and this is anime, so sit back and enjoy as we meet another new couple!
How Not to Summon a Demon Lord (Discussion) – Fingerbang the Cat Loli, Save the World!
You may remember Lynn’s discussion with Dewbond from Shallow Dives in Anime about Parallel Paradise. Well, these two have got together again to talk about How Not to Summon a Demon Lord and what they thought about it. Expect things to get interesting!
Tuesday
Sekirei (Episode 4) – The Strange Tale of Maison Izumo
Sekirei continues on with the harem-building… it seems there is a mysterious guest living at the Maison Izumo. Plus, Kusano has officially joined Minato as the harem’s second member. So what’s going on with this mysterious guest? Answers to that and more fan service in this episode of Sekirei!
Ao-chan Can’t Study (Episode 6) – Kijima-kun Can’t Wait Any Longer
If Lynn’s reviews are anything to go by then Ao-chan Can’t Study is improving at an alarming rate. It’s gone from lukewarm to sizzling and not just because this one is all about barbecuing meat and sex! If that doesn’t make you want to watch this series you may want to check your pulse.
Wednesday
Waifu of the Week (#3) – Ao Horie
It was Lynn’s turn to pick the Waifu of the Week based on our reviews from week three and it’ll be hard to argue with the selection of Ao from Ao-chan Can’t Study. Seriously, this girl hasn’t form sex on her mind all the time… and we thought we were bad!
YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of This World (Episode 7) – The Cause of the Curse
Lynn dives back into YU-NO and will freely tell you that it’s becoming a firm favorite from the current seasonal schedule. It’s dark and mysterious, has a guy who is often inappropriate, and a plethora of beautiful women.
Thursday
Love Hina (Episode 4) – Keitaro’s Academic Struggle
Keitaro has stayed on as the manager of the Hinata Apartments, but now his secret is out – he isn’t actually a Tokyo U student! And so, the girls make a decision: Keitaro has to pass his cram school’s practice exam, or else he’s out. How will Keitaro handle this new pressure? That and more classic ecchi tropes featured in this episode of Love Hina!
Why the hell are you here, Teacher!? (Episode 8) – Eighth Period
Lynn continues the catch-up reviews for Why the hell are you here, Teacher!? and it seems to be a lot of fun. In this episode, there are lots of outrageous ecchi moments and two teachers are featured, so happy days!
Friday
No Game No Life (Episode 3) – The Battle for Elkia
With the nation of Elkia’s fate looking grim, an opportunity has arisen for Sora and Shiro to take control. The two, known as Blank, have never lost a game before. And so they crash the crowning ceremony, and challenge Kurami Zell to a game – with the fate of the nation in the balance!
YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of This World (Episode 8) – The Sparrows and Swallows Know Not
Lynn is still trying to decide if Eriko’s outfit is the best teacher outfit in all of anime. If it’s not, it’s certainly up there. That said, the mystery and intrigue continue as the story takes some sinister twists and turns. Seriously, everyone should be watching YU-NO.
Saturday
Ao-chan Can’t Study (Episode 7) – Ao-chan Can’t Handle the Beach
We’ve waited for more than long enough, so it seems only fair that Ao-chan Can’t Study gives us a beach episode complete with revealing bikinis and underwater angles. This episode is not for the faint-hearted and it also has a great punchline.
Who’s ready for another week of this? Well, we are. I’m still amazed at the amount of content we’ve been able to put together. Let us know if there’s anything you’d like us to discuss or look into. We’re always looking for new shows to cover and old ones to revisit. See you next week.
