As the world continues to stay at home and wonders what to watch next, we’re still here with plenty of recommendations if you like ecchi anime. Not sure where to start, have a look around, I’m sure something will catch your eye!
Plunderer – No Episode this week!
As COVID-19 sweeps the world, there are a few good things that we can be attributed to the virus such as the waterways in Venice being cleaner than ever, pollution is down, and there was no episode of Plunderer. So, to make up for that here is an image of the series when it was at its peak! That’s about ten minutes into episode one. Unfortunately, it’s all been downhill since. Hopefully, it will manage to improve over the next thirteen episodes or Lynn’s going to get even more sarcastic!
Tsugumomo (Episode 5) – Training
Lynn continues his attempt to get through Tsugumomo and be able to watch the season finale of season two live. Frankly, this can only be a good thing as this series is hilarious and continues to be a lot of fun. It’s not as ecchi heavy as shows like High School DxD or Sekirei, but it more than makes up for that with the constant jokes and outrageous faces all of the characters make. This is just good fun.
Waifu of the Week (#43) – Kokuyou
Talking about Tsugumomo, Lynn is sticking with the series to pick this week’s Waifu of the Week and it is the devourer of menus, the shrine maiden with the huge melons, the clueless Kokuyou! Kokuyou captured Lynn’s attention when she sat down and ate the entire menu at a restaurant and it didn’t seem to phase her one bit. On top of that, she went toe to toe with Kiriha and even though she lost, we got to see her in tiny sports shorts and a tight top. Hopefully, there will be much more of Kokuyou to come in this series.
Keijo!!!!!!!! (Season One)
If you’re new to ecchi this might be a good place to start… maybe. This is definitely an excellent series and a great sports anime in its own right, so there is that. Sure, it’s about girls competing in a sport similar to sumo in bikinis and they can only hit each other with their bums or boobs. Jokes aside, this series is excellent and Yomu does a great job of telling us why. Seriously, just go watch it.
Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid (Season One)
So, this one probably isn’t for the new to ecchi viewer, but your welcome to give it a go. It will make everything else you watch after that seem tame. If you like to see strong girls fighting, kissing, fondling, and shredding each other’s clothing then this is the series for you… if you don’t like those things, then you may want to see your doctor… It does have a pretty good story too. So, enjoy!

Tsugumomo (Episode 6) – Memories and Childhood Friends
In this episode of Tsugumomo, Kazuya finds that his school has been turned into a dating sim and in order to defeat the amasogi, he’ll need to win Chisato’s affection. The only problem is that Kazuya is a clueless moron and he’s up against a veteran of the game. He turns to Osamu for guidance and together they may stand a chance. This series is hilarious and this may have been the funniest episode yet.
This week we said goodbye to Keijo!!!!!!!! and Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid with their season reviews. It’s always sad to see them go, especially when we’ve had a lot of fun covering them, but we can’t dwell on one series forever. As the saying goes, there are plenty more fish in the sea and the new season is about to swim into our shores. I’m not if that’s exactly how goes, but I think you understand. Anyhow, you can expect more or the usual next week, maybe some new shows, and the return of Yomu… hopefully!
Once again, thanks for visiting and please let us know if you have any suggestions for ecchi anime to cover!
