Well, we did it! That’s one whole year reviewing and talking about ecchi anime! We’ve seen some great titles and some not so great titles, but we’re always having fun. Here’s a recap of the last week.
Hatena Illusion (Episode 11) – Finale
This is it, Yomu is free from watching anymore Hatena Illusion! We try our best to stick shows through to the end, but sometimes the anime just isn’t the most exciting. Anyways, Hatena Illusion tries its best to go out on a good note at least. What did Yomu think of this anime’s conclusion?
Plunderer (Episode 19) – Cheating
Get ready for the real turning point in Plunderer. Apparently the money has run out and they’ve decided that no one’s going to take the animation seriously anymore. These are unfounded rumours, but it’s hard to argue with them. Just take a look at the highlights and while you’re there, you can enjoy Lynn’s slow and steady descent into madness as he tries to make sense of this series.
Waifu of the Week (#51) – Lynn May
Lynn has completely lost it and has now selected Lynn as the Waifu of the Week… But don’t worry, there’s no pictures of Lynn from Ecchi Hunter, just lots of pictures of Lynn from Plunderer. The series may be infuriating, but at least Lynn seems nice. She also seems to get a rough deal from the others in the series and not just Licht who is the worst ecchi protagonist in the history of the world…
Mayo Chiki! (Episode 8) – The First Time!
Mayo Chiki! continues to deliver on the fan service, something that Yomu has been very happy to see. Things also get a little crazy in this episode when Jirou and the girls go to a summer festival…!
Shomin Sample (Episode 8) – Aika-sama Has a Lot of Friends
Shomin Sample isn’t finished with Karen and her booty shorts! Which Yomu remarks is a little odd, considering Shomin Sample decided to use this fan service only one episode after we had just seen it! Still, can’t complain, right?
Tsugu Tsugumomo (Episode 1) – The Troubleshooters’ Office
Lynn dives straight into season two of Tsugumomo after a week off to write up the first season review. Things pick up pretty much exactly where they left off and then it gets completely insane, as you might expect. There’s some interesting stuff about Kazuya’s past, but the appearance of a group of villains is sure to make this series that much crazier. There’s also the obligatory bath scene, so business as usual!
And they said it couldn’t be done! We don’t know who they are, but they were wrong. Ecchi anime can sustain a website and by sustain, we mean make it thrive. We’ve had a load of fun covering all these shows, new and old, and are looking forward to keeping it going. There’s so much more for us to explore that we could probably keep this site going for the next twenty years… Let’s just focus on the next one for now, shall we?
We’ve got plenty of titles lined up for the future, but we’re always open to suggestions. Feel free to leave us a comment here, or message us on Twitter! So, once again, thanks for visiting!
