Well, another week bites the dust and it’s time to look back at what we’ve been watching. Several of our shows are reaching the big finish and we’re hoping for happy endings all around!
Everyday Life with Monster Girls (Episode 3) – Everyday Life Under Dangerous Circumstances
Daily life with monster girls can be hazardous. First, there’s the harem aspect, where the girls will all fight over you. And then in addition to that, apparently monster girls act a little differently when there’s a full moon… once again, things get very ecchi in Everyday Life with Monster Girls!
Plunderer (Episode 23) – Unforgivable
Lynn battles through another episode of Plunderer content in the knowledge that there is only one episode left. Seriously though, have you enjoyed Plunderer? If so, probably best to avoid Lynn’s reviews.
Waifu of the Week (#55) – Kuroko Smith
Lynn’s been at it again – stealing waifus from the shows that Yomu is covering. Admittedly, there’s probably plenty more to come from Everyday Life with Monster Girls so this can probably be swept under the rug. That said, just one look at Kuroko Smith and you can see why he did it!
Mayo Chiki! (Episode 12) – Dismay of a Butler and I, a Chicken
Mayo Chiki! ends with… something, but not really a bang. There’s some nice fan service, but then Yomu isn’t the biggest fan of how the show tried to inject some drama at the last minute in order to end with a “climax”. As usual, this is something that Yomu hates to see these slice of life ecchi anime do.
Shomin Sample (Episode 12) – Though I Am Inexperienced, Please Accept Me Forever
Speaking of ecchi series injecting drama at the last minute in order to try and end with a climax, Shomin Sample is yet another series guilty of this! Even moreso than Mayo Chiki!, and Yomu notes how these final 2 episodes of Shomin Sample didn’t feel right. While there was some fan service, Yomu was disappointed to see once again an anime that prioritizes ending with some drama over just giving us some great fan service to send us off.
Oh well, one of these days an anime will do it to Yomu’s taste, maybe.
Tsugu Tsugumomo (Episode 5) – Sunao and Kotetsu
A little more balance between seriousness and frivolity in this episode and, as usual, it’s a lot of fun. Sunao approaches Kazuya and Kiriha seeking help with Kotetsu. The quest takes them to a fancy hotel complete with a private bath… You can probably see where this is going…
Next week, we have the series review of Shomin Sample to look forward to and also the final episodes of Plunderer and Mayo Chiki! We’re going to need to get on with some new shows as soon as possible. There are also lots of older shows that we have an eye on covering too. Things are always changing here, but you can count on there being plenty of ecchi.
We’ve got plenty of titles lined up for the future, but we’re always open to suggestions. Feel free to leave us a comment here, or message us on Twitter! So, once again, thanks for visiting!
